In 2003 the Town of Manchester purchased approximately 4,300 streetlights from Connecticut Light and Power (CL&P.) The Town is responsible for bulb replacement for these lights and upon notification will replace them in a timely manner.
Under State law, CL&P retains responsibility for ensuring power is supplied to each streetlight. Upon inspection, if the Town finds that the outage is due to a power supply problem, we will report it to CL&P. CL&P will then be responsible to correct the power problem. It generally takes several months for CL&P to schedule and address power supply problems.
If you would like to report an issue with a streetlight, please let us know using the form below, including pole number if available. Thank you for your assistance.
